About
Sand Creek Technologies is one person.
A software engineer in Nebraska. I spend my days building AI systems that have to actually work — and my side of the desk helping smaller businesses get the same thing without the enterprise price tag.
Background
Production systems, not slide decks.
My professional work is enterprise software engineering: modernizing systems that are older than some of the people maintaining them, and putting AI into workflows where a wrong answer has real consequences. That's a very different discipline from building a demo. It means caring about what happens on the bad day, not just the launch.
That's the experience I bring to smaller businesses. The tools are the same. The difference is that a twelve-person company can't absorb a failed six-figure project, so the work has to be scoped smaller, priced honestly, and useful immediately.
I also build and ship my own software. Shopfloor — equipment tracking for construction crews and the trades, with AI scanning that holds up offline in the field — is a Sand Creek product. It's the most direct evidence I can offer that the things I propose to build for you are things I can actually build.
Why this exists
Because most owners are being sold something.
Every small business in the country is currently being pitched AI by someone. Most of those pitches are a subscription with a chatbot bolted to it, sold by a person who has never opened the software you actually run your business on.
Meanwhile the genuinely useful version of this — automating the specific thing that wastes eight hours of someone's week — goes unbuilt, because it's too small a job for a consultancy and too technical to do yourself.
That gap is the entire reason Sand Creek Technologies exists.
How I work
Four rules I don't break.
I'll tell you not to buy it. If the thing you're considering won't fix your problem, you'll hear that from me before you spend the money, even when the sale would have been mine.
You own everything. Files, domains, accounts, credentials. I don't hold your business hostage through a login only I have. When a job ends you have everything, whether or not you work with me again.
No resold software, no kickbacks. If I recommend a tool, it's because it's the right tool. I don't take referral fees from vendors, so my advice isn't quietly for sale.
Plain English, always. You should be able to explain to your team what you bought and why. If my explanation needs a glossary, that's my failure, not yours.
Have a problem you'd like a straight answer about?
Thirty minutes, no charge. Worst case you get a clear read on what you're dealing with and a name for it.
